Here at the Market Place Theatre, Armagh we have a fantastic line up of shows and events. But we believe in offering the group organiser so much more than that. Realising and understanding the difficulties associated with planning an evening out for a large group of people, we offer a group booking advice service which provides the group organiser with all the support and assistance they should ever need to arrange the perfect outing.

Armagh Craft Fair | Sat 27 May | 10.30am-6.00pm

Armagh Craft Fair is returning to Armagh on Saturday 27th May from 10.30am to 6pm, at The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre.

Bringing high quality Craft to the heart of Armagh City this annual event offers something for everyone. The fair will feature over 45 high quality craft stalls from makers across Northern Ireland and Ireland. The crafts on show at this year’s Craft Fair will include textiles, knitwear, jewellery, wood, metal, basketry, glass, soaps, leather, ceramics, and candles to name but a few…..

There will also be 13 free craft demonstrations from master crafters throughout the day including hands on creative craft making opportunities for both adults and children. Why not have a go and learn a new skill? Ever had a burning desire to try your hand at Ceramics, Felting, Hand Loom Weaving. Basketry, Jewellery Making, Green Woodwork, Leather Working, Metal Sculptures, Needle Felting, Glass-Lampworking, Hemp Rope Making? Well now’s your chance to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in as they’re all available at this year’s Craft Fair.

In addition to all this, there will be children’s workshops, musical entertainment, great food & much more.

Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre presents this brilliant and fun theatre show where kids can follow the clues to the Dinosaur Bones.

The Dinosaur Detectives follow a fascinating journey of discovery, fun and conflict surrounding the first fossil finds of Mary Anning, William Buckland and Gideon Mantell. A show with puppetry combined with projection and shadow theatre create their fascinating world. Boys and girls who are into Dinosaurs will love this show!

A fossil table will be available at the end of the show for everyone to study fossils – including Dinosaur Vertebrae and Dinosaur Poo!

POST SHOW ACTIVITIES: Ticket price includes post-show one hour of fun activities including Themed Craft Workshop, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling & Fancy Dress Competition with prizes For Best Dress Boy & Girl. Great value for money! Super Saturdays are recommended for age 4+. This event takes place in our Studio Theatre with an unreserved, tiered seating layout.

Belvoir Players proudly presents this hilarious Ulster comedy by Sam Cree. Set in a Belfast hospital during the 1960’s, the Ward Sister rules the roost! We follow the fortunes and misfortunes of the patients in the male surgical ward. When Sammy, a Linfield supporter is admitted, followed by Felix who supports Glentoran, we can be sure mayhem follows! Add to the mix a giddy nurse, a domineering wife, a femme fatale and an all-in wrestler, then we have all the ingredients for a typical evening of pure Cree manic magic! Presented by one of Northern Ireland’s leading amateur theatre groups.
